Every time you bimble, you're helping a local charity

There's a great motto in business: make some money, then make a difference. And that's a big part of BimbleBox... we're a business first, but we also like to give something back. So we've adopted 2 local charities here in Norfolk: Nelson's Journey and EACH. We'll tell you about them here, and show you how we're working together...

Nelson's Journey
supports bereaved children and young people in Norfolk. If a local child loses a significant person, like a parent or sibling, they can count on the support of a Child Bereavement Worker - someone trained to help them come to terms with their loss and start to rebuild their lives.

East Anglia Children's Hospice
(EACH) supports children, young people and families affected by life-threatening conditions. Expert staff provide care in the hospice, in family homes and in communities. Support includes overnight care, symptom management and a range of specialist therapies.

Both charities rely heavily on donations. So we're doing what we can:

  • Some of our cottage owners are helping to raise funds by donating up to one week's rental fee every year.
  • Some cottage owners donate last minute weeks or short breaks to deserving families - offering a change of scene to help people cope at the hardest time in their lives.
  • And to play our part, 1% of our fee from every holiday booked goes directly to an Owners Contribution Fund. This helps our owners to meet running costs for breaks that they donate. So just by booking with us, you're helping to make a difference.

"Thanks to the generosity of BimbleBox, children in Norfolk are receiving the support that they need at the time of bereavement. When they donated a week's hire to our recent auction, we raised enough money to support one of the 400 or more children we help every year."

Colin Lang MBE
Chief Executive Officer, Nelson's Journey

"I have been supporting a bereaved family following the death of their child last year. Due to a very generous donation from a holiday let owner, they were able to get away over Christmas to a peaceful cottage, without the stress of having to organize it themselves. Thank you."

Cottage Owners:
your chance to get involved

There's no pressure, no obligation. Some of our owners take part, and some don't - it's really as simple as that. But if you'd like to help out, please get in touch and we'll tell you more.

You can raise funds by donating 1 week's rental this year. Or if you have a week standing empty with just a few days to go, why not release it and help a deserving family make some special memories?

We think everyone should have a holiday to write home about...

"BimbleBox's charitable element is its golden thread. It benefits property owners, customers as well as the associated charities."
